A good box grater can really come in handy for those smaller jobs when you don’t want to pull out your food processor. This Box Grater by Norö is perfect all of your kitchen needs. It is made of stainless steel, silicone and plastic. It has 4 different cutting sides that can grate fine, coarse, julienne or slice. The compact design of this box grater really has it all.
When the box grater arrived I noticed right away the green silicone cover on the bottom of the grater. No more worries about the grater moving around when I am grating or slicing even the hardest or softest of cheese. I like that that box grater can be used to grate potatoes, cheese, carrots and takes only seconds to get the job done. Even grating a soft cheese like mozzarella is not a problem.
The box grater has a stainless steel handle that is surrounded by green colored plastic. The handle is large enough to give me a solid hold, but not so big that it is uncomfortable. The green silicone base cover is removable for easy cleaning. The stainless steel sides are easy to clean. From personal experience I have found if I use a cooking spray before grating soft cheeses makes clean-up a breeze.
Overall, I found the Norö Box Grater to be made sturdy and high quality products. I like the silicone base it does keep the grater from moving around. I found the compact size great for my small kitchen. The green color is nice and reminds me of spring time. I also like that each of the four different side of the box grater offer me something different. I found the box grater to be solid even when grating potatoes and cheese. I did not experience any flexing of the grating or cutting surfaces when using. Another nice thing about his box grater is I can grate potatoes and onions in seconds without having to stop to clean in between. The box grater was easy to clean, but be careful because the stainless steel blades are extremely sharp. I would recommend the Norö Box Grater.
