Crazy Cup Sampler of Flavored Decaf Kcups

I normally do not drink decaffeinated coffee, but the flavors sounded so intriguing I had to sample them. The Crazy cups are sold in a multi pack of 48 K cups. The K cups are compatible with K 2.0 and other Keurig brewers. The K cups are recyclable which is surprising since other K cups are not recyclable. All of the Crazy cup coffees blends are Lactose free, Vegan, gluten free and Kosher. Each cup contains about 35% a more coffee which is about 13 grams per K cup.

When I saw the names of the different flavors it reminded me of all of the yummy deserts that we all want to enjoy, but feel too guilty. Drinking a cup of these flavored coffees is a great way to enjoy your favorite deserts without the extra calories or guilt. There are 12 different flavors. The flavors are Banana Foster Flambé, Death by Chocolate, Frosted Oatmeal Cookie, Italian Chocolate Cheesecake, Chocolate Coconut Dream, Peppermint Chocolate Mocha, Chocolate Raspberry Truffle, Caramel Pecan Cluster, Apple A La Mode, Crazy Jamaican Java and (2) Pumpkin Vanilla Crème.

After sampling a few of the flavors I can tell you that the coffees do not leave an artificial aftertaste. The flavors are not overpowering, but more of a back flavor just the way they should be. When drinking them black I noticed only a slight bitterness which I find with most decaf coffees. The flavors are mellow enough to enjoy a black cup of flavored coffee if this is how you drink you coffee. If you drink your coffee with coffee creamer than it gives a creamy enhanced flavor to the coffee blends. It does not take away the flavor of the coffee. My personal favorite is the Apple A La Mode and the funny thing is I am not a fan of apple flavored drinks or deserts. The Caramel Pecan cluster has a hint of brown sugar caramel with a hint of toasted pecans. The Banana Foster Flambé which was my mom’s favorite has a caramel banana flavor. Surprisingly, it did not have an artificial banana flavor. The Chocolate Coconut Dream was my mom’s least favorite she thought was bitter with a high acid burn. When I sampled it I thought it was fine, it was more bitter, but I think it was the coconut that slightly strong. Each of the other favors were nice and as smoother than most decaf coffees. I am a big fan of Peppermint Chocolate Mocha, but if you do not like peppermint this may not be a good choice for you. Overall, this is the perfect sampler to give you a variety of flavors at a great price. I would recommend the Crazy Cup Decaf coffees to those who are looking for a flavored decaf.
