When it comes to the non-stick pans I have found more duds than keepers. That was until I was offered the Green Earth Frying Pan 3-Piece Set by Ozeri. These pans are the most amazing pans I have ever used. The green earth frying pans have a unique textured honeycomb cellular pattern that allow the food to brown and crisp with its little air pockets that the honeycomb pattern provides. This is a true non-stick pan.
Right out of the box I could see the craftsmanship that went into the crafting of these pans. The non-stick coating is different than other brands since these pans are made with GREBLON ceramic. Greblon ceramic is 100% PTFE, PFOA and APEO free and made in Germany. What I found really impressive about these pans is that the pan only requires a small amount of oil. Less than one teaspoon of oil and the food is sliding around the pan instead of sticking. There are no toxic fumes released when using these pan even at a high heat unlike other non-stick pans. The pans surface seems to be more durable and resistant to scratches. Though, you will still need to use silicone, plastic or wood utensils to keep the pans surface from becoming scratched. Each of the three pans comes with a green felt flower shaped insert to protect the pans cooking surface which is a nice bonus. The pans are made of a die cast aluminum and it has some nice heft to it. The die cast aluminum allows the pan to retain its heat and allows me to cook at a lower heat while getting the same results as a high heat. I found when cooking with the pan that my food was browning evenly with no sticking at all.
Overall, I found the Green Earth Frying Pan 3-Piece Set by Ozeri, with Textured Ceramic Non-Stick Coating from Germany to be quite amazing. The pan set comes in size 8”, 10” and 12”. I followed the directions and I washed the pan then used 1 tsp of cooking oil to prep the pan before using. I then used the pan to cook a variety of foods from vegetables, eggs, meat and sauces. With most of the things I have cooked the pan looked clean and would take much more than a quick wipe to make them clean. I have found that food browns beautifully. Eggs just slide out of the pan with just a few drop of oil or butter. I make a lot of turkey meatballs and hamburgers they both browned perfectly and did not stick at all to the pan surface. The only oil I add was 2 tsp. for the meatballs and hamburgers which is amazing since I use the 99% lean turkey. Every pan I have cooked these same meatballs and hamburger in has resulted in them sticking to the pan. I saw where other reviews stated that the pans overtime loss their non-stick surfaces. This happens with every non-stick pan, it’s a buildup of cooking oil which can be avoided with just a little extra cleaning once in a while. I use white vinegar or a little baking soda to clean the surface and no build up. I never use cooking spray in any of my non-stick pans because that will ruin them in no time. Cooking spray causes a buildup that is almost impossible to remove and will cause a whitish coating and make the non-stick surface stop working. I like that the surface has a100% ceramic coating and contains no chemicals. The pans are so easy to clean and store with their little felt flower inserts. I am completely satisfied with this wonderful non-stick pan! I would recommend the Green Earth Frying Pan 3-Piece Set by Ozeri, with Textured Ceramic Non-Stick Coating from Germany!
