Living in a country setting is beautiful, but one drawback is we lose power often. I just can never seem to have enough lanterns in my house which means I am always looking for more inexpensive LED lanterns. I was offered an opportunity to test a sample of the Ultra Bright LED Lantern – Outtled Camping Lantern which I gladly accepted. What is really nice about this lantern is it is sold in a set of two. These LED lanterns provide 360 degrees of luminous and 100 lumens with its 30 LED bulbs. I like that the lanterns are lightweight, compact and portable. The strong housing of the lantern is a charcoal gray color and it has a clear plastic outer globe that covers the LED bulbs. The lanterns have two silver metal handles that are used for carrying, hanging and to turn the lanterns on/off. Each of the lanterns take 3 AA batteries which are not included.
Operating the lanterns is simple. Just lift the handles while pulling the top of the lantern housing up and the lantern is illuminating the room. To turn the lantern off just push the housing down. The lifespan of the LED bulbs is over 100,000 hours of lighting life. The lantern is water resistant which makes it great for outdoor and indoor use.
I am completely happy with the functioning of these lanterns. When testing the lanterns to see how well they will light up a room. I found them to illuminate a dark room quite well. There is enough room to be able to read as well as to be able to move comfortably around a dark room without the fear of tripping over something. I like that these lanterns are lightweight and easy to carry from room to room. These lanterns also set nicely on any surface. The lanterns are small enough to set on any small surface such as a nightstand, bathroom counter or anyplace you need illumination. I would recommend the Ultra Bright LED Lantern – Outtled Camping Lantern.
